Scope is a project content and project result to be provided. The project scope is detailed described in the project structure plan. If there is any need for changes that deviats from the original scope in the course of the project, they will be adjusted in the scope management. The scope structure is a basis to define the process structure and organizational structure.
The PMBOK Guide describes the project scope as a work, which should be done to deliver a product or a result including quality standards. This means “content and scope” of the process in the product development. The content and scope management is used to carry out all specified project tasks that are necessary for the successful completion. The change control verifies, if the approved changes are correctly implemented.
