InLoox 11 has been available since September 29, 2022. This major version brings many changes, including increased system requirements. The InLoox support team helps you migrate from InLoox 10 to InLoox 11:

1. Requirements for Apps

These system requirements apply to all editions of InLoox.

InLoox 11 Web App

  1. Google Chrome 98 or higher
  2. Microsoft Edge 88 or higher
  3. Mozilla Firefox 100 or higher
  4. Safari 14 or higher

InLoox 11 for Windows

  1. Microsoft Windows 11®, Microsoft Windows 10® Version 1809 or higher
  2. Microsoft .Net 6 Desktop Runtime
  3. Connection to the Internet / the InLoox On-Prem Server

InLoox 11 for Outlook (classic COM add-in)

  1. Microsoft Windows 11®, Microsoft Windows 10® Version 1809 or higher
  2. Microsoft .Net 6 Desktop Runtime
  3. Microsoft Outlook® 2021, 2019, 2016 or Microsoft Outlook® for Microsoft 365 in latest version
  4. Connection to the Internet / the InLoox On-Prem Server

InLoox 11 for Outlook (modern add-in)

  1. One of the following products:
    • Microsoft Exchange® Online
    • Microsoft Exchange® Server 2016 or 2019 Note With this option, you may only be able to use the Modern Add-in in restricted mode (without access to file attachments of emails), depending on the Outlook client used.
  2. One or more of the following products:
    • Windows: Microsoft Outlook® 2016 or higher / Microsoft Outlook® for Microsoft 365 in latest version
    • Mac: Microsoft Outlook® 2016 for Mac or higher / Microsoft Outlook® for Mac in latest version
    • Microsoft Outlook® on the web
  3. Connection to the Internet / the InLoox On-Prem Server

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The InLoox for Outlook Modern Add-in is the successor of the classic COM add-in. You can use both versions, but we recommend only using InLoox Web App in combination with the new InLoox for Outlook Modern Add-in for your work processes. Starting with version 11, the Windows client requires the .Net 6 Desktop Runtime instead of the previous .Net Framework 4.5.2. If you are using .Net 6 already, you do not need to do anything. If not, the .Net 6 Desktop Runtime will be downloaded and installed during the InLoox 11 installation (prerequisite: existing Internet connection). (RecommendationAutomatic updates for Microsoft .Net 6 »)

Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Outlook and Windows are supported; we strongly recommend 64-bit as well as the latest Microsoft Office and Windows service packs.

For the integration of the InLoox add-in for Outlook to work correctly, the setting "Do not allow Home Page URL to be set in folder Properties" must not be activated in the Windows group policies. The settings can be found in the Group Policy Editor under the following path: User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Microsoft Outlook >> Folder Home Pages for Outlook Special Folders >> "Do not allow Home Page URL to be set in folder Properties"

Please make sure that your Office is installed either via Windows Installer (MSI) or Click 2 Run Installer, and not downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or higher is required for Terminal Server operation.

2. Server Requirements

These system requirements apply to InLoox On-Premise Edition only.

InLoox 11 On-Prem Server

  1. Microsoft SQL Server® 2016 or higher (all editions)
  2. Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or higher (with .Net Framework 4.7.2 or higher)
  3. Microsoft Internet Information Services from Version 10
  4. Microsoft ASP.Net 8 Hosting Bundle (RecommendationAutomatic updates for Microsoft .Net x »)
  5. Valid certificate for SSL encryption 
  6. SMTP Server (for sending automated emails)
  7. Windows/AD user who has read/write permissions to a project document drive (alternatively Sharepoint Online with Azure AD App)

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS

  • Microsoft Exchange Server® (2016 or higher)
  • Microsoft SharePoint Server® Online 
  • Microsoft OneDrive® for Business

Note The InLoox OnPrem Server requires Internet access to the following URLs for license activation and for notifications about new versions:

  • https://app.inloox.com/api
  • https://account.inloox.com

If desired, a proxy server can be configured for Internet access.
