Project objective

You are here: InLoox Project management glossary Project objective

Towards which goal does the project team work?

Project objective describes the status, which should be achieved at the end of the project. It represents an information management according to the three dimensions of the magic triangle (quality, time and costs). The objects are necessary for the planning, monitoring and control of the projects. The individual activities fail, if they are not available, as they are therefore not coordinated. A defective system has also negative impact.

It is required that all project stakeholders know the project object and understand it. It is determined in the project definition. But the solution ways are not offered. The objective is compared with the results at the end of the project. The objective is achieved through project phases, work steps, project goal definition, project tasks definition, controlling of use, qualification requirements, project organization and competence matrix.
