Multi project management plans, manages and monitors multiple projects that are independent from each other. The multi project management is also defined as a management approach due to the appropriate organizational structure, methods, processes and incentive systems. Such measures as matrix organization, center organization or creation of the central coordination offices often defined as project management office are the organizational measures. At the same time the multi project management provides the coordination and establishment of the incentive and premium systems for the employees that supports the project development.
Project portfolios will be observed in the multi project management. Operative and strategic decisions will be made. On the one hand the project portfolio must be prepared strategically correct and the correct priorities must be set. On the other hand the individual projects must be carried out in a commercial economic way at an operational level; resource conflicts as well as bottlenecks should be solved.
