A retrospective is an agile method, most often associated with the scrum methodology (‘sprint retrospective’). It describes the regular meeting of the project team. During such a meeting, the team looks back at their achievements and reflects on how to improve future projects. A retrospective should take place after the completion of an iteration or sprint. A scrum master or a neutral person (internal or external) serves as the moderator for a retrospective session. The focus is on the team and how they work together. The goal is to continually improve teamwork and as a result increase productivity.
