Munich, July 27, 2026 - Projects generate valuable knowledge every day. Decisions are documented, problems are solved, processes are improved, and lessons are learned. Yet a significant share of this know-how disappears once a project is completed, ending up in emails, file directories, or the minds of individual employees. With version 26.4, InLoox expands its project and portfolio management platform with the new Knowledge area, creating a central place where project knowledge can be documented, connected, and made available for future projects.
Available with the InLoox Enterprise Edition, the new Knowledge area provides every team with a fully integrated wiki inside InLoox. Organizations can use it to create and organize work instructions, onboarding and offboarding documentation, best practices, lessons learned, business processes, and frequently asked questions in a flexible page hierarchy. Knowledge pages can be linked directly to InLoox projects, tasks, and documents, creating a seamless connection between day to day project work and the knowledge it produces.

"Organizations invest significant resources in their projects. But the true value lies not only in the project outcome. It also comes from the experience that teams gain along the way," says Dr. Andreas Tremel, Co-founder and CEO of InLoox GmbH. "With the new Knowledge area, we are creating a place where this knowledge is preserved for the long term and made available exactly where new projects are planned and executed. At the same time, it helps organizations meet regulatory requirements more effectively by ensuring that essential information is documented in a transparent way and kept up to date for everyone."
As demographic change continues to reshape the workforce, systematically documenting organizational knowledge is becoming increasingly important. In the years ahead, many experienced employees will retire, taking valuable expertise with them that often exists only in their heads and has never been properly documented. At the same time, today's employees expect to find relevant, up to date information quickly and directly within the applications they use every day. By integrating knowledge management into the project platform, there is no longer any need to switch between different applications and information sources.
In addition to the new Knowledge area, InLoox 26.4 introduces a range of enhancements designed to improve day to day project management. Permission templates make it easier to assign user permissions consistently across an entire account. The new Person custom field type allows responsible team members and stakeholders to be assigned flexibly to projects, tasks, and documents. Resource planning now supports zero percent capacity, making it possible to plan work at the team level before individual employees have been assigned. Additional filters in the multi project timeline provide better visibility across complex project portfolios. The global project search now also indexes project comments, making decisions and discussions much easier to find. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents can also be opened directly in the corresponding desktop Office applications without requiring OneDrive or SharePoint synchronization.
A complete overview of all new features and improvements is available on the InLoox What's New website.
