This new version makes it even more convenient to connect field workers, distributed project groups, and international teams

Munich, May 5th 2010 - “IQ medialab”, the Outlook software specialist has released a new version of their project management software “InLoox”. The improvements are aimed at connecting mobile employees, distributed project groups and international teams. Andreas Tremel, general manager of IQ medialab, explains the developer’s goal: “We want to create a virtual project platform across different sites, devices, and languages - directly integrated in Microsoft Outlook”.

Faster startup

The new InLoox starts faster than previous versions. Users can work with e-mails, contacts, tasks and appointments while the software is connecting to the project database. This feature is especially helpful for users at subsidiaries and at remote locations, particularly those with slower connections. It will also suit the needs of team members, who need to access projects, within the company’s network, from their home office.

Netbook support

The InLoox user interface has also been improved. The new version now runs flawlessly on low resolution screens, enabling the field workers to drive projects on ultra-portable mini notebooks. Project managers, executives, and team members need never again lose their overview of a project - even with very low screen resolutions.

Revised Russian user interface

It is a fact that InLoox is becoming more and more widespread in Eastern Europe. For this reason, the new version ships with a completely revised Russian user interface. Further languages, such as German, English, Spanish, and French, are already available. “Project teams are becoming more and more international. Having an interface in the user’s native language increases acceptance and convenience”, as Martin Grünert from the development team explains. More language packs are in development and, once they are available, they can be obtained from the manufacturer’s web site free of charge.
