You have a number of options for customizing your list views and displaying exactly the information you need.

The following functions will help you:

  

Group data

To make a grouping in a list view, proceed as follows:

1. You must first activate the advanced mode. To do this, click on the button with the three vertical dots at the top right and activate the "Advanced mode" slider.

2. Now show the columns that are relevant for you/the grouping (e.g. project name, task name, project manager, start, end...).

To do this, click again on the button with the three vertical dots in the top right-hand corner and then on Choose columns. Now drag the desired column from the column chooser to the desired position in the list. Then close the column selection menu again.

3. Grouping: Now use the mouse to drag the column by which you want to group the entries into the area to the left above the table.

Info  You can also group by several columns. Simply drag additional columns into the area above the column name.

Examples:

  • You are in the list of time recording entries and want to break down the entries by project. To do this, drag the Project name column to the top and group by it.
  • In addition, you want to break down the entries further by person, which is why you also drag the column Performed by to the top and group by this column as well.

Filter data

You can use filters to display only the data that is relevant to you. You have several options:

Basic version

1. Click on the filter symbol directly to the right of the column name for which you want to set a filter.

2. Select the filter criterion.

Example: Select a person in the filter for the "Project manager" column to see only those entries for which the person is the project manager.

Advanced version

1. You will also see the filter icon at the bottom of the view. Click on Create Filter here.

2. This opens the Filter Builder. You can use this to create more extensive evaluations.

  

Example of using a dynamic date filter:

We want to display the time entries for the current month. Instead of defining a specific date range, we use a dynamic date filter.

1. Navigate to the list of time tracking entries and open the filter builder (see above).

2. Next to the AND, click on the + sign on the right and then on Add condition.

3. Click on the field highlighted in blue and select the Start column

4. Then click on the green highlighted field and select the operator Is later than the start of.

5. Now click on the field with a gray background and select one of the available date filters. In this case, we select This month.

6. Finally confirm with OK at the bottom right. The filter is applied immediately. You can see this again at the bottom of the view.

Remove filter:

If you want to remove a filter, click Clear at the bottom of the view on the far right.

  

Sort data:

To sort alphabetically in ascending or descending order within a list view or grouping, click on the arrow in the desired column.

Example: If you want to sort all project managers alphabetically in ascending order, click on the arrow so that it points upwards.
