Quicktrack in InLoox Web App
Create time tracking entries from Outlook appointments

There it is - the Outlook integration in InLoox Web App. With the Quicktrack function, we provide what you already know from InLoox for Outlook: from now on, you can create time tracking entries from your Outlook calendar entries in InLoox Web App and thus maintain your time tracking quickly, easily and comfortably. This saves you from switching back and forth between Outlook and InLoox Web App.

Simply drag and drop project-relevant appointments onto the corresponding projects, and InLoox automatically creates the time tracking entry. Private appointments or appointments that should not be accounted for can be ignored. A traffic light system marks the days with fully accounted appointments as green. At a glance, you can see those days with not yet booked appointments marked orange.

Thanks to InLoox's compatibility with Microsoft 365®, each user can control whether InLoox is allowed to access the Outlook calendar. In addition, InLoox automatically removes email addresses from the To, CC and BCC fields in the time tracking entries, in accordance with data protection regulations, so that no personal email records from third parties end up in your InLoox account.

For detailed step-by-step instructions, read the help article Track time of calendar entries.

This is the first stage of this functionality - we still have a lot of plans and are looking forward to developing the best mailbox integration that project management can offer for you.

Reading along for free and without a license - with the new user type "Read-Only"

You want to give your project partner reading rights to your InLoox project platform, but you don't want to buy an extra user? Your customer wants to be able to view the project plan independently, but you have to export the Gantt chart as a PDF and send it by mail every time? Well, we have something for you: the free Reader licenses are now included in all InLoox editions.

With the granular InLoox permission system, you grant the readers in your account reading rights only for those projects that are also intended for them. This means that all the people you previously had to inform about the current status of projects in meetings or via e-mail can now proactively gather this information.

With this new user type, we also change the distribution of license types: from now on, people who are newly invited to your InLoox account will automatically get the user type "Read-Only". The person with admin rights can change the type from Readers to fully licensed in the InLoox settings.

Find more information in the help article on the Distrubution of User Licenses.

Planning (reading mode) in InLoox Web App

A long-awaited feature has been released - the Gantt planning is now also integrated in InLoox Web App! Even though it is currently available only in the read-only version, you no longer have to switch to InLoox for Windows or InLoox for Outlook to view the project planning.

InLoox Web App now provides you with a comprehensive and, above all, quick overview of all project activities like tasks, activities or milestones. Stay up-to-date and monitor project progress in real time. Also keep an eye on dependencies, deadlines and resources - this ensures that you can deliver your projects on time and efficiently.

We are working on making the planning fully available in InLoox Web App with all its features as known from InLoox for Windows and InLoox for Outlook. Of course, we will keep you up to date on this.

Advanced mind map functions in InLoox for Windows

Copy nodes to the project planning

On the way to the Feature Complete status, the function of creating planning elements in Gantt out of mind map nodes is now available. With just one click, you can turn the desired nodes into planning activities in InLoox for Windows and InLoox for Outlook. You can immediately enter the start of the plan and the duration of the tasks. InLoox will redirect you to the planning where you can enter the details and finalize your Gantt planning.

This way we complement the mind map task workflow with another innovative way to support you in your teamwork. You can now move from the creative project discovery phase in the mind map to the concrete teamwork with tasks and planning phase with activities and milestones.

For step-by-step instructions, see the Help article Copy mindmap to the planning.

Mind map templates

As already known from the InLoox tasks and the Gantt planning, you can now also save mind maps as templates, and export and import them.

In the help article, you will find a detailed description of all mind map features in InLoox for Windows and InLoox for Outlook.
