My Profile

This is where you add basic profile information and define personal account settings.

Edit profile information

  1. Click on your profile image and then on My Profile.
  2. Under Overview, you see your current profile information: profile picture, display name, email address including the VERIFIED label, if you have verfied your InLoox user access after sign-up or after having been invited to this InLoox account.
  3. Click on Edit Profile to change your profile information.
  4. You can now edit everything under Settings:
    • Change your Avatar/profile picture. Only allowed file types are .png, .jpg. and .jpeg.
    • Change your Full Name.
    • Change your Display Name.
    • Change the Language to German, Spanish, French, Italian or Polish. This will also change the corresponding date, time and number settings.

     5. Click on Save Changes or Discard, if you don't want to save the changes.

Select Sign-in Method

  1. Click on your profile image and then on My Profile.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Your default sign-in method is signing-in with your email address and password, which you can reset here, should you want to change it. Other sign-in methods are:
    • Email Two-Factor Authentication - Sends a verification code via email when signing in.
    • Authenticator App - Requires you to install an authenticator app, e.g. Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, for time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) when signing in. If you select an Authenticator App as your sign-in method, Email Two-Factor Authentication is disabled.
    • Microsoft 365 Account credentials - Requires you to use your Microsoft 365 account for authentication and will disable the email/password login. If you opt for your Microsoft 365 Account for authentication, the sign-in with an Authenticator App is disabled. Once you disconnect the integration of InLoox with your M365 account, your default sign-in method is automatically activated.

Personal Access Token

Here, you can generate a personalized access token for authorizing data access from applications to your InLoox account. The token acts as a personal login and allows access only to the data you can see in InLoox.

  1. Click on your profile image, then click on My Profile.
  2. Click on Personal Access Token.
  3. Then click on New Token.
  4. Type in a name for the token, e. g. John Jane Access Token OData. Select the InLoox account the token is for.
  5. Click on New Token. The token can now be used, e.g. to integrate data from the InLoox database directly into Excel as a data source using Microsoft Power Query. For more information, read the technical support article InLoox and Excel with OData.

IMPORTANT For the token to work, you need the permission "Allow authentication via personal access token", which you will receive from your InLoox admin. (After (de)activating the permission, it takes up to 1 hour for this to take effect. Background: The permission is cached to optimize performance.)
