Define skills such as language skills, special industry knowledge or certifications for your team members in InLoox. Easily identify employees with the required skills inside your company and accurately allocate them in projects according to their skills. You can create, edit and delete skills in the InLoox Settings, as well as assign or re-assign these skills to the respective resources.

When you want to assign e.g. a task to a person with a specific skill, you can type in the skill in the resource assignment field and it will show the search reasults. Then you can pick the best qualified person for the task. 

NOTE You need admin permissions to access the InLoox Settings.

Set, define and assign new skills

  1. Click on InLoox Settings and go to Organization.
  2. Click on the tab Skills
  3. Click on New and type in the name of the new skill. Click on Save.
  4. In the list of skills, click into the text field in the column Description and add further, relevant information to define the skills (optional).
  5. Then click into the column Assignment and select one or more people who have this skill.

Edit or Delete Skills

  • Simply inline edit the name or the description of an existing skill.
  • To change the assignment, either click on the X next to a person's name or click into the field and select another person from the contacts menu.
  • To delete an entire skill, simply click on the red trash can icon. InLoox asks you, if you are sure to delete the skill. Click Delete to confirm your choice.

The deleted skill will no longer be shown in the ressource assignment menu in tasks, documents, time entries, financial items, activities in the Gantt etc.
