What is the configuration mode of the InLoox On-Prem Installer for and how can it be used?

  

Answer:

With the configuration mode of the InLoox On-Premise server setup, you can view the current server configuration and change it if needed (for example the SSL certificate or SMTP server settings).

To do this, follow these steps:

  

Open the configuration mode of the InLoox On-Premise installer

Info To use the configuration mode, you must have local administrator privileges on the server.

1. On the server, open the Control Panel.

2. In the Control Panel, go to Programs → Programs and Features.

3. In the list of programs, select InLoox On Premise Server.

4. Click Uninstall. This starts the setup as an administrator – only then is the configuration mode available. Info No uninstallation will be performed. This step only serves to launch the setup with elevated privileges.

5. In the setup window, select Update configuration.

You can now move through each step of the settings and review or adjust the values.
All values, except for the certificate used for SSL encryption, are already pre-filled with the existing settings.

6. Click through the configuration pages one by one until you reach the section you want. The existing values are already pre-filled.

7. In the SMTP server configuration section, you must send a test email before you can continue. Enter a recipient address for this.

8. Confirm all steps to finish the configuration mode.

9. Restart the InLoox site in the IIS UI.
