Project analysis by a neutral authority
A project audit is the analysis and evaluation of an ongoing project by a neutral and external authority. The project auditor assesses whether the current status of the project concurs with the planned one and what improvements have to be made to complete the project successfully. A project audit often takes place when a project is in danger of failing or is in a crisis.
