Problem:

After the InLoox installation, the Outlook start is very slow and takes up to several minutes.

 

Solution:

This is an uncommon problem. It is caused by security settings which verify the publisher certificate.

If the internet access is limited by other security settings, this verification cannot be done and is restarted several times which leads to waiting times.

This setting can be configured with Microsoft Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Open the Tools menu. (In Internet Explorer version 7 and higher, the menu might be hidden. Press the "alt" key to show the menu).
  3. Go to Tools –> Internet Options –> Advanced tab.
  4. By the end of the list, you find "Check for publisher’s certificate revocation".
  5. Uncheck the checkbox and leave the options.
  6. Restart Outlook.
