Problem:

The InLoox Ribbon menu / Toolbar is not displayed.

 

Solution:

The group policy of the Domain Controller blocks the loading of the Outlook AddIns. Please follow these steps to solve the problem:

  1. Log on as administrator on the Domain Controller or contact your domain administrator.
  2. Open the group policy management.
  3. Choose the group policy object for the respective user and click on Edit in the context menu.
  4. Go to the following files in the group policy editor:
    • MS Windows 2008 Server: Benutzerkonfiguration/Richtlinien/Administrative Vorlagen/Klassische Administrative Vorlagen/Microsoft Office Outlook 2003/Tools | Options/Security.
    • MS Windwos 2003 Server: Benutzerkonfiguration/Administrative Vorlagen/Microsoft Office Outlook 2003/Tools | Options/Serurity.
    • Change the property value "Configure Add-In Trust Level" to the standard value “not configured”.
  5. Update the group policy of the Domain Controller via the command line “gpupdate /force” on the server.
  6. Restart the client.
