Outlook security query

Problem:

The Outlook security query appears when creating a new email: "Permit access".

 

Solution:

This message appears due to the fact that Outlook does not trust any COM AddIns. Please follow these steps to solve the problem:

  1. Log on as administrator on the Domain Controller or contact your domain administrator.
  2. Open the group policy management.
  3. Choose the respective group.
  4. In the group policy editor, go to the following folders:
    • MS Windows 2008 Server: Benutzerkonfiguration/Richtlinien/Administrative Vorlagen/Klassische Administrative Vorlagen/Microsoft Office Outlook 2003/Tools | Options/Security
    • MS Windwos 2003 Server: Benutzerkonfiguration/Administrative Vorlagen/Microsoft Office Outlook 2003/Tools | Options/Serurity
    Change the value of the "Configure Add-In Trust Level" property to the standard value of "not configured".
  5. Update the group policy of the Domain Controller via the command line "gpupdate /force" on the server.
  6. Restart the client.
