Munich, July 4, 2023 - Munich-based software developer InLoox has launched new and enhanced features for its project management platform. InLoox 11.3 comes with new resource planning as well as financial planning, laying the foundations for comprehensive multi-project and product portfolio management in companies. In addition, to simplify documentation and project communication, the Quicktrack function of emails has been extended so that emails and attachments from the inbox can be read directly in InLoox and also filed in projects.

From now on, project finances can be managed in InLoox. The project-specific expense and revenue planning created in InLoox 11.3 forms the basis for introducing multi-project and portfolio financial planning in companies in the future.

Overview of planned and actual values of project expenses and benefits

InLoox automatically displays the planned and actual expenses as soon as the project managers enter the estimated effort in the project tasks and determine the actual effort via time tracking. The expenses can be compared with the expected and tracked benefits. InLoox visualizes these benefits based on the recorded working hours in the project and the purchase prices of the budget groups.

Global resource overview including resource utilization

With the global resource overview in InLoox, managers can put together teams and check the workload of team members at a glance, as well as plan their capacities accordingly. This enables companies to avoid bottlenecks and overloads.

InLoox uses a customizable working time calendar. This calendar shows the availabilities as well as weekends, holidays and personal absences such as vacation, parental leave or sabbaticals of the individual person or group of people. In combination with the already assigned project tasks and their effort estimation, the capacity of the individual person is then calculated. Based on this, project managers can carry out effective resource planning.

"Project work is often just the tip of the iceberg," says Dr. Andreas Tremel, co-founder and CEO of InLoox. "The real time guzzlers lie hidden beneath the surface of the water, and it's only when the iceberg tips that you see the extent of unrecorded routine work, meetings and feedback loops. With our new resource planning, companies can determine the true availabilities of their teams."
