InLoox 5, the project management software integrated in Microsoft Outlook
New version supports SQL, Microsoft Project and SharePoint Server
Munich, October 8th 2007 - Outlook software specialist IQ medialab releases a new version of their project management software InLoox. The solution is fully integrated in Microsoft's email and groupware solution Outlook. InLoox provides an easy-to-use project platform right at the center of the information worker's world.
Extending Microsoft Outlook for project management and project planning
The features include project planning, time and expense recording, document management, project accounting, reporting and analysis. With over 25,000 users worldwide, InLoox is the de facto standard for project teams in Microsoft Outlook. Communicating, sharing and exchanging critical information becomes easier, faster and more reliable. InLoox works together with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and Microsoft Project. Project plans can be imported and exported in a convenient way.
Document management features are also part of InLoox. Project documents can be stored on a file or Microsoft SharePoint server. New documents are recognized by the software and made available to all - directly in Outlook. The integration with Outlook and the look-and-feel of Microsoft Office makes it easy to start a project right away. Important information is always available without synchronizing or leaving the familiar Outlook interface. Work packages are displayed across projects. This way, they are accessible for all team members and project managers right next to the Outlook calendar or task list. At the touch of a key, InLoox will transfer master data to a new Outlook task or appointment. Information can be posted directly from the Outlook inbox or calendar to a specific project. Team members and project managers are much more in touch with each other.
Multilingual user interface and powerful permissions for enterprise customers

The new version is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian language. Also, a powerful role based security concept has been realized. Andreas Tremel, general manager of IQ medialab GmbH, sums up the new version: "The reaction, especially from medium-sized companies, is extremely positive. Last month we gained our 500th customer. That makes us very proud."
